The history of Belberry started in 1956, when André Vandererfven acquired a small grocery store that existed since the late 19th century in Kortrijk. He started with the production of preserves for the local market. This happened after the wife of the neighbourhoods pharmacist asked André to make her original marmelade with an ancient recipe. When his son Thierry took over in 1990, he started with expanding the home made production and to export these preserves all over Europe
The original recipes of the traditionally made jams & marmalades of Belberry, have been crafted more than a century ago. Since then they have been preserved carefully as valuable treasures. Fruits worldwide selected for the sake of the exceptional taste, not too much sugar, no colors or preservatives, a slow production process in an open red copper kettle... and the loving hand of our 'master jam-maker', makes these jams full of flavor
