Relative matching score

The relative matching score of one ingredient with another, is a number dependent on the highest absolute matching score of a specific ingredient. The absolute matching score is transformed into a percentage relative to the highest absolute score for that specific product.  The matching score in the Foodpairing® Flavor Database is a relative matching score. The best matching ingredient of the Foodpairing® Flavor Database for a customer product has a 100% match. The matching score of the other ingredients is relative to the aroma score of the best matching ingredient.
